my choice of stay in HK: Langham Place Hotel

Almost every year Ron and myself will somehow make a pilgrimage trip to HK for various reasons and each time we will always choose to stay at the same hotel due to various reasons. We really love staying at Langham Place Hotel because it's so convenient to get around. There is MTR and a shopping complex, right below our hotel. It's also near to Mongkok area and when Ron is occupied I normally love to roam around the city on my own.

Also, since we come here often we don't usually do the touristy thing of going out early in the morning and coming back late at night where the hotel is really just a place to sleep. We also chill out a lot in the hotel so that explains why we are here.

In terms of amenities, they have their own in-house spa brand which I don't normally use since I'm used to bringing my own toiletries (that explains why I always have to lug around heavy luggage, hehe).

p/s: the real reason why we are always back here is because Ron can't fit into other hotels, go figure. hehe.

live out loud

This trip's highlight. Not sure what you think of him but I think this uncle is so cool. He permed and coloured his locks and have this very hippy look. I bet the dogs have a very colourful life just like their owner, notice the white dog with dyed purple fur. Even youngsters couldn't help but look at him with envy seeing how he is daring enough to live the way he wants while ignoring the disapproving look from general public.
Shoes I bought this trip. Seems like I'm already preparing for chinese new year next year...
My favourite shoe and surprisingly the most comfortable one.
Went to Tim Ho Wan for dinner, if you are heading there please remember that there original outlet near Mongkok is closed. Don't be like me, walk all the way there only to find the shop plastered with bills all over the front :'(

2013's april fool

Bought this album at IFC Mall, one of the rare albums where I'm willing to spend money on.
Today marked the 10th death anniversary of Leslie Cheung and his songs happens to be part of my childhood memories. Over the weekend I was in HK and I was able to catch a glimpse of Leslie's giant statue at Times Square @ Causeway Bay. There were alot of ardent fans who worked very hard folding paper cranes for him. It's quite a feat given that he is already long gone for so long yet his supporters from all over the world is still going on strong, sacrificing time to make all this thing happen.

I haven't been blogging for a long time for many reasons and even if I do, it's always been quite sporadic. Laziness and lack of time are some of the many reasons that hinder me from blogging but another bigger reason is the backlash that comes together with exposing too many of my details online. I'd suppose if today I blog about the trips that I've been going or the things that I buy, people will end up thinking that I'm just being boastful. Trying to show off my life then they will curse you till no end. But of course people will want to share things they are happy about, why will they want to drag the entire world to go into depression?

So when I told Ron the reason why I've discontinued blogging, he mentioned that we are people who care too much of what others think about us but maybe I can continue to blog and keep it as a journal so that in future when I read back I will have something to remind me of because humans are just so forgetful more often than not. In that sense, I think what he says is really true, even now when I read my past posts I have also forgotten that those are the things that happened to me and thank God for those times where I have jot it down, I'm able to recall it back again.
